Come rain or shine, the Berlin Blues Festival will be the best show in town. Dubbed as "Connecticut's Premier Blue's Festival," thousands will turn out for a day filled with great food and entertainment. The event will be hosted by well known blues author and educator Art Tipaldi and will offer several nationally known acts along with a few local blues bands.
Sponsored by the Berlin Lions Club and AT&T. Lions members from Berlin along with Lions from all over northern Connecticut gather together to provide a well kept venue and great food and snacks. Once again the event will be held to benefit the Connecticut Lions Low Vision Center located in New Britain, CT. The center's goal is to maintain or enhance the quality of life for people experiencing the emotional trauma of newly diagnosed blindness or low vision. Most of their clients are over age 65 and affected by uncorrectable vision loss such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetes, and blindness related to stroke. The Low Vision Center provides therapy, referrals, devices and support to help these people maintain their dignity and independence.
